I-29 Exit 130 Interchange Project (20th Street South)
Brookings, S.D. (4/14/2020) – The City of Brookings, Brookings County and the South Dakota Department of Transportation will be releasing their informational web site to receive public input for the I-29 Exit 130 (20th Street South) Interchange project. The website will be available to the public starting on Monday, April 20, 2020 at 5:00 PM at the following site: www.20thstinterchange.com
The project proposes construction of a new interchange along I-29 at 20th Street South (approximately 2 miles south of US14/6th Street in Brookings) as well as construction of 20th Street South from 22nd Avenue South to 34th Avenue South in Brookings.
Due to restrictions in public gatherings from the COVID-19 virus, the web site release is in lieu of a Public Information Meeting. On the web site, the public may learn about the project, view a presentation and submit questions and comments. The deadline for submitting comments on the project is May 4, 2020.
