Airport Dual Track History
The Environmental Assessment (EA) schedule has changed. In gathering information on the alternatives under consideration, there are several properties that may be eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places and could be adversely affected, which requires consultation with the South Dakota State Historical Preservation Officer (SHPO). In addition, the habitat of the Western prairie fringed orchid, federally listed as a threatened specie, may be present and affected by the alternatives. This determination cannot be made until July. After consultation with the SHPO and determination of the presence of the orchid, a schedule for the EA will be prepared and posted on this site.
